‘WHERE ART MEETS CRAFTSMANSHIP’

Custom made picture framing. Working with local, national and international artists & some of the major London galleries.

Owned by Gary Young, former manager and frame maker at PictureFrames of Shaftesbury, and his partner, Chloe Potts.

We specialise in handmade frames that are personalised to your artwork. Offering a huge range of profile styles and a massive selection of frame finishing - from natural sanded wood finishes to hand painted and gilded decoration (with plenty of other options in between!).

We are based in a quiet location, just outside of Shaftesbury, with a consultation & assembly area and fully-equipped frame making and finishing workshop.

Plus we make a half decent cup of coffee/tea, so if you’ve made an appointment for a consultation with Gary please feel free to bring along biscuits (or cake)!

  • We can stretch your canvas based artwork onto a variety of stretcher frames using professional fixing methods. If you’re after a tray type frame to finish off then we can consult on a range of styles that will suit the work.

  • Dropped frame? Gaping corners or/and broken glass? We can sympathetically repair most damage and put your frame back to its former glory.

  • All our work is carried out to the exacting standards of the Fine Art Trade Guild.

We only use tried and tested reversible methods for presenting artwork, meaning in the future it’s straightforward to update the framing if wanted.

All materials used in the framing process are sympathetic to the art, such as acid-free mount cards and fixing tapes.

  • We’ve secured the services of a great local transport company who specialise in the movement of fine art and antiques.

They have been trading for nearly 60 years and the current team has over 50 years of combined experience, which we believe gives them the edge in service and professionalism.

They will be handling all our collections from London galleries and delivering the framed artworks back to London once completed.

We’re not going to be offering the same kind of service that PictureFrames of Shaftesbury had in place but if we can accommodate we will try!
